Latin words

Use Latin words as little as possible. If they have to be used they should not be in italics.

For example, status quo, ad hoc, vice versa, de facto, in situ.

Lawyers

We need to be conscious of how our clients and external audiences perceive terms we use. We should avoid using 'fee-earners' and instead use 'lawyers'.
